Will Jackson Music - UK Music Producer - Composer

MY BACKGROUND

Born and raised in London, I’ve been in love with everything music since my dad introduced me to the piano aged 5.

A degree in music composition and technology was followed by multiple years of honing my craft composing and providing music production for local artists and bands.

Now I’m lucky enough to be able to produce and compose for a range of brands and wonderful artists as a full time job. Mixing and recording for a 20-track EA Games album, is one of my favourite experiences!

I’m also the producer and drummer for new band – Lightlines, fronted by ex-Union J member, George Shelley. Find out more here.

I pride myself on being easy to work with, and always love reaching out and connecting with new people, especially when there’s a good coffee involved!

COMPOSING

I’ve got many years experience composing to a variety of briefs, covering a vast number of musical styles.

I’m a sucker for a tasty chord sequence, and a melody that hits it off!

The RnB/soul and funk domain is an area where I feel particularly at home.

PRODUCTION

Progressing from the compositional stage, I then fully mix and master the music I create. I also work with serious artists as a producer or mixing engineer, to help realise their creative visions.

Whatever I’m working on, I’m always on the search for that elusive ‘goosebumps’ moment. Tricky to find, but amazing when you do!

For anything else that I can’t cover with my excellent VST’s, I have a pool of outstanding, trusted musicians that I regularly call upon.

"We wanted to record live. We found a big empty theatre, set the band up and Will did the rest. He mic’d up the band, set ambient mics, directed them into his mobile studio and and balanced the signals. Within 2 or 3 hours he turned a small rural theatre into a sonic working studio. Over 2 days we recorded 9 songs. Post-production was all Will, we had some overdubs, but gave Will space to finish. The results were stunning. not what we had expected, but a bigger, braver, harder band than we knew we were. He’s also a proper nice dude to work with. With love and thanks, The Blues Chapter"

Always great to work with a producer who is also a talented multi-instrumentalist! We collaborated on some tracks I produced and I gained lots of insights on quality mixing and mastering! Definitely recommended!

Will is not only a great guy, he’s a great educator, musician, producer and engineer. Will has been teaching me piano for the last few months and with his help I’ve exceeded my personal expectations of where I’d be with my playing in a short time. I’ve known Will and his work for many years now, and also had the pleasure of performing with him in a band or two. He’s great at a lot of things, and fun to be around while he’s doing them.
